Read the label on the fertilizer package for proper disposal technique. Organic wastes such as grass clippings, tree trimmings and leaves shouldnot be left on paved surfaces or thrown in ditches where rainwater can carry them into streams. Grass clippings can be left on the lawn to decompose.
